Motor Skills May Predict Success in School

Researchers in Finland say that poor motor skills may be a factor in predicting poor academic performance in adolescence.

Kristin Newton‘s insight:

I’ve noticed that kids’ fine motor skills have relly been growing weaker over the past 10 years. The opportunities to use one’s hands to do complicated things is decreasing at a rapid rate. For example, how many kids tie shoelaces anymore? Brain development and motor skills are directly related.
